Last week Sedgehill Academy was alive with the sounds of over 200 young people performing in orchestras, ensembles and groups at Lewisham Music's 'Live Unplugged'.
Friends, family and supporters flooded the fantastic main hall at Sedgehill Academy for an evening of music; from classical orchestra pieces to folk group ensembles, from original writing to African drumming.
Highlights on the night included a toe-tapping rendition of 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' by Our Lady & St Philip Neri Catholic School, an original piece 'Best Mistakes' written by student Jessica Boland and performed by Sedgehill Acoustic Collection, and an incredible film-focussed finale (including Duel of the Fates from Star Wars) by the Lewisham Youth Concert Band.
Expertly organised and hosted by Lewisham Music, 'Live Unplugged' was a joyful celebration of music in a wonderful school setting.
