We are looking for a local filmmaker, student or film graduate to help us capture the energy, rhythm and diversity of Lewisham Live 2020, and to create a short film we can use to promote future festivals.
The festival has already started so we need someone who is available right away for about 8 days work (including time for editing). The filmmaker will capture parts of our festival events and venue shots and then edit into a short snappy promo piece. You will need to have your own equipment and editing software (or access to this), and we are happy for the video to be used on your showreel and CV. the film will be used for social media and online promo so happy to work with someone who has experience of creating video for that medium.
We are offering an £800 set fee for this commission, and feel it would be a brilliant opportunity for someone wanting to take their first professional steps into cinematography.
If you are interested in applying for this post, send a brief cover letter (no more than 1 side A4) to Helena at lewisham.live@leanarts.org.uk explaining why you are interested in the opportunity, what experience you have of making films and how you would embark on working with a small arts charity.
Please also confirm that you have your own equipment and software and can start almost immediately for approximately 8 full days between now and mid-April.
Deadline for applications is 5pm Sunday 1st March - so act fast!!
