This weekend we we're blessed with the chance to hear the world premier of new original music and works-in-progress being created by the important voices of London's youth. Held in Goldsmiths Recital Room, the young musicians showcased their work in front of a excited and enthusiastic audience which included Lewisham and Deptford's MP Vicky Foxcroft.
Goldsmith's Alchemy is a free creative music lab and access to professional resources which is available to 14-18 year old based in Lewisham. It is a collaboration between the widening participation, the Department of Social, Theraputic and Community studies department and the department of Music at Goldsmiths University of London as well as three Lewisham Schools. The Project is directed by Mikey Kirkpatrick, who also hosted the event alongside King Vito on Saturday.
